Need for Speed Most Wanted for Android, black screen on Nexus 7?

23.12.2013

Need for Speed Most Wanted, the Android version, currently has some issues on some devices, including Google Nexus 7.

The racing maps don’t have any textures, you only see some black shapes, basically it’s like playing in the dark.

Some users that bought the game have reported that this issue started to happen either when EA has updated the game or either when Android got updated to the KitKat version (the latest one).

NFS Most Wanted doesn’t have any graphic related settings, you won’t be able to solve the issue from there. Actually, there isn’t any fix at this time, clearing the cache of all your apps from your device won’t do anything (I tested it myself).

What we can do is to wait so EA to release an update (it usually happens often), or Google to release a new update for Android (that happens around 2-3 months).

You can’t get a refund once you start the game for the first time.

Yeah… This is crap. I guess I should be used to it though… It is EA after all…. Haven’t even bought titanfall yet Cruz its got EAs name on it. You might only care about the money EA, but if you can’t release bug free games, its only a matter of time before people stop giving you their money

There was an update in January that was fixing this error: http://gkrage.com/nfs-most-wanted-for-android-nexus-7-black-screen-bug-was-fixed/

Maybe they released a new update and the bug is back. I don’t know.

Anyway, try to uninstall / install the game. It might work.
